Drug Field or Checkbox | Province | Description |
---|---|---|
AADL # | Alberta | Displays the Alberta Aids for Daily Living (AADL) Catalogue number for the drug. This is required to submit AADL prescriptions and upload AADL batches. |
Maintenance | Saskatchewan | Indicates if the drug is part of the Maintenance Drug Schedule. These drugs should be dispensed in 100 day or 2 months supplies at the therapy's maintenance stage. |
EHR Type | Saskatchewan |
Three options are available for EHR Type: Rx, Device, or Non-EHR. Prescriptions for drugs set as Device or Non-EHR are not transmitted to the EHR. Drugs that are either a device or test strip should be recorded as Device. Any refills for prescriptions that are filled as a Device must also be filled as a Device. If a prescription has been filled for the incorrect EHR Type, you must correct the Drug Folder and then the prescription. Ensure the prescription is aborted on the EHR and locally before continuing to fill the prescription for the correct EHR Type. Prescriptions for Device and Non-EHR drugs are recorded on the Non-DIS Transactions report which is reviewed by Saskatchewan Health. Therefore, it is imperative that you ensure the EHR Type is correct for those products that are not recognized by the EHR. |
